Astros-Yankees opening day game in New York postponed due to weather

Houston Astros and New York Yankees fans will have to wait one more day for their regular season to start.

According to the official Yankees Twitter feed, severe weather in the area around Yankee Stadium is leading to today’s noon game to be postponed.

“Today’s Opening Day game is postponed due to inclement weather; will be made up tomorrow, April 5th. Stay tuned for official press release,” the official Yankees Twitter announced just after 7:30 a.m. Houston time.

We’ll know later on today what the exact plan is for our Astros on Tuesday, but for now it looks like Carlos Correa, Dallas Keuchel, and the rest of our boys could be playing a double-header sometime in the near future.

The start-time forecast for Tuesday game is 37 degrees in NYC.
