Fandemic comic convention postponed further

The Fandemic Tour was supposed to come to Houston this week with comic convention favorites like Norman Reedus and Jeffrey Dean Morgan from “The Walking Dead.” Following Hurricane Harvey, the three-day event was postponed until December. But organizers today announced the event will now take place in October 2018.

“The Fandemic Tour mission is to provide fans with the best comic con experience possible by ensuring an unrivaled and unparalleled event. With that core mission in mind, Fandemic Tour remains cognizant that the Houston area and its community has more immediate and pressing concerns over the next few months than leisure,” read a statement. “Fandemic Tour’s leadership has watched Houston set a new standard for working diligently, shoulder to shoulder, with familiar and anonymous faces alike, toward a common goal: to assist one another, begin the healing process, and simply recover. To that end, Fandemic Tour understands that the massive recovery efforts may not be completed by early December, and Houston’s focus does not need to be diverted during this time.”

Some of the guests were also unable to make the December reschedule date.

Fandemic will refund all ticket purchases automatically. More information at the event’s site.
