Houston-native Arcade Fire dedicates song to Harvey victims during MSG show

More than 1,600 miles away from home, Arcade Fire honored Houston during their show at Madison Square Garden Tuesday night.

Front man Win Butler and brother Will, who were raised in Houston, showed their respect to their hometown during their concert, including promoting the Hand in Hand telethon behind them on stage.

“Thank you for sharing that solidarity,” the band told the crowd before launching into “The Suburbs,” about growing up in Houston.

Houston was devastated by Hurricane Harvey nearly three weeks ago but is still struggling to return to normalcy after the storm’s damage.
